.Mar 19 , 2017- A person died and three others were injured in a knife attack at Ganatantra Basti in Banjhogara of Dharan on Saturday
According to Inspector Rajendra Parajuli of the Area Police Office, Dharan, the deceased has been identified as Bhakta Rai, 26, of Dharan.
Critically injured in the incident, Bhakta was rushed to the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Sukraj Raj Rai, Ratna Khatri and Prajwal Tamang aka Bhukke, Rajan BK, Raju Rai and Bikram Pariyar among others had allegedly attacked Bhakta with the sharp weapon over the issue of ice cream today.
Police said that Sukraj, Ratna and Prajwal were also injured in the incident.
According to a preliminary investigation, the incident occurred after an argument among them turned into a fight.
In the fit of rage, Bhakta first attacked Sukraj Raj, Ratna and Prajwal with the knife and later they snatched the weapon and attacked him.
Police said that they nabbed the trio from the premises of BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences where they had gone to receive the treatment after the incident.
During the interrogation, the trio, however, had denied the allegation.
Police said that they are investigating into the case.
