CHITWAN: At least two persons died as a dry landslide buried some vehicles and motorbikes along the Narayangadh-Muglin road at Ghumane, Kabilas of Bharatpur, in Chitwan district on Monday.
The duo died while being taken to a Bharatpur-based hospital after being rescued, police added. The victims are yet to be identified.
A truck, a car, a van and three motorcycles were buried in the incident, the District Police Office informed.
Police said the death toll may rise as the rescue efforts are underway.
DPM directs for early rescue
Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bimalendra Nidhi directed concerned authorities to facilitate the early rescue of the victims buried in the landslide.
