BJP MLA Usha Thakur’s controversial remark on Muslims: Sacrifice your sons instead of goats on Eid al-Adha! (
Usha Thakur of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has created yet another controversy with her remarks. The member of legislative assembly (MLA) from Indore, who had ‘banned’ Muslims from participating in Garba last year during Durga Puja, now has voiced her opinion yet again on how Muslims should not visit any Durga Puja pandal during Navratri 2015, as the Quran prohibits idol worship. “The Quran says that the worshipping of idols is prohibited. Therefore, any true Muslim should not go to any Durga pandal,” Thakur said.
She further claimed that she has support of Muslim Qazis in this particular stand. She added that Durga Puja and Garba were not sources of entertainment, but a reflection of the faith Hindus have on their goddess.
