Misuse of mobile phones

Mobile phone is one of the wonderful inventions of science. This incredible technology has made our life easy. But the negative uses of mobile phone may bring many troubles to our life. We will not find one mobile user who has not received unexpected calls from unknown numbers. A group of mentally sick people find entertainment in making such calls. Girls are the main target of these unknown callers. If we contact the mobile operators, they suggest that we should avail their call blocking service for a certain fee. But there is no getting away because they call from different numbers. It seems that these unknown callers help the operators make more profit. If we seek help from the law enforcing agencies, they show indifference.
The harmful uses of mobile phone are also misleading our teenagers. Parents should consider the age of their children before buying them mobile phones. The latest addition is Internet on mobile phones. Now our teenagers are prone to use Internet on mobile for downloading adult songs and videos. They may involve themselves in different types of crimes. Parents need to strengthen the family ties and teach moral values to their children. They should make sure that their kids use mobile phones in a proper way.
Our mobile operators are selling SIM cards without verifying customers' identity properly and that leads to various mobile related crimes. It has become an essential tool for organised crimes. Our government should make a strong law to compel mobile operators not to sell SIM cards to customers without proper verification. Our electronic media shows programmes on many irregularities and problems of our society; they should make programmes on this issue too.

Teen Girl Arrested for Running High School Prostitution Ring On Facebook

A 17-year-old Florida girl was arrested Friday for human trafficking after the Venice police department began investigating a high school prostitution ring organized on Facebook. The girl arranged at least one act of prostitution that involved a 15-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man, according to cops
WTSP reports that John Mosher, 21, was arrested after the alleged act of prostitution took place. Cops say Mosher paid $40 and a bottle of alcohol to have seks with a 15-year-old girl. The girl told police she met Mosher at a community pool shed, and when she tried to back out of the deal, he forced her.
The alleged 17-year-old ringleader colluded with another high school student on Facebook to organize meetings like Mosher's, according to cops. In one of the exchanges, the alleged ringleader wrote:
Why pimp out old hoes when I have fresh young hoes I can give up for money? As long as I'm getting paid I'm trafficking all these (expletive deleted).
Police say her plan involved charging $50 for oral seks and $100 for seks with a virgin.
The case was brought to law enforcement's attention by four girls at Venice High School, which neighbors the alleged ringleader's Riverview High School. The girls told cops that the alleged ringleader and another teen boy tried to recruit them to join the ring.

Most deaths of Nepalese workers in Malaysia due to cardiac arrest, says ambassador

The Nepal Embassy received 461 death reports of Nepalese workers here last year and 70 percent of them died in their sleep due to a massive heart attack or sudden cardiac arrest.
Nepal Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Niranjan Man Singh Basnyat (pic) said the cause may be due to working long hours, especially under the hot sun while the other 30 percent was due to fatal accidents at workplace, consuming too much alcoholic drinks while a few had committed suicide due to monetary reasons.
Basnyat, who was concerned with the hardworking attitude of his countrymen who are willing to work long hours, wanted them to slow down and take care of their health.
"They might not be aware that they would suffer from fatigue after working long hours under hot and humid conditions and this can result in deaths while sleeping," he said.
He said the embassy also recorded 2,945 deaths of Nepalese workers here over the past 10 years from 2005.
Basnyat said Nepalese workers are reportedly struggling hard to earn money, in the hope that they could remit some funds for their families or settle debts in their own country.
He hoped they will realise the importance of working for eight hours per day instead of the 12 hours per day they worked normally, to ensure they stayed healthy.

How to Be a Good Husband

So you got married and became a man of vows. All those promises you made to your wife really mean something now, so it's time to start walking the walk. Fortunately, being a good husband isn't impossible. It's about following your heart, your conscience, and acting on your love for your wife. These simple steps, if taken seriously, can help lead you and your better half to a brighter future.
Help Being a Good Husband
Being a Man of Principle
Be a gentleman, if she'll let you. Most, not all, women find the idea of a gentleman sweet and endearing. If your wife is that kind of lass, get ready to bust out your most chivalrous self. Think 17th century manners, or thereabouts:
Kiss her hello and goodbye.
Take her heavy shopping bags for her.
Of course, there's always the chance that she doesn't want you treating her in a gentlemanly way. If she doesn't, don't take it personally. Continue being sweet to her, even if you don't give her special treatment.

Be respectful. Respect is an act of understanding. Understand that your wife is an independent, different person, and that she may not want to do the exact same thing as you, even though your interests are usually aligned. Here are four examples of ways you can be respectful of your wife:
Keep your promises. Do what you say you'll do. If you tell her you're going to do the dishes, don't wimp out and then make excuses while she takes over your responsibility.
Be on time. If you say you're going to be somewhere at a certain time — say, pick up your kid at daycare — be there. Your wife's time is just as valuable as yours. Respect it.
Stop assuming. Don't just assume that she'll do something because she's your wife or a woman. Establish good lines of communication instead. Learn how to ask for a favor.
Listen to what she's saying. Don't pretend to listen — actually listen. Sometimes, the only thing we want is a good listener or a shoulder to lean on. Let her talk and be absorbed in what she's saying.
Never lie. Get in the habit of telling the truth. Ask yourself how you would feel if you found out your wife was keeping anything but a birthday secret from you. Always tell her where you are going if she wants to know. Tell her who you are with. Tell her what your motivations are, even if you think they're petty. Being open and never lying establishes great verbal communication, which is at the heart of all great relationships.

Acid attack survivors redefine beauty in B’desh fashion show

Teen model Shonali Khatun strutted the catwalk as the audience cheered at a fashion show in Bangladesh’s capital.
But Shonali is no ordinary model, and this was no ordinary show.
She and the 14 other models are survivors of acid attacks, common in this South Asian country, where spurned lovers or disgruntled family members sometimes resort to hurling skin-burning acid at their victims.
The fashion show, held Tuesday night in Dhaka and attended by fashion lovers, rights activists and diplomats including the US ambassador to Bangladesh, aimed to redefine the notion of beauty while calling attention to the menace of such attacks.
For 14-year-old Shonali, the event was nothing short of empowering. She was attacked just days after she was born amid a property dispute involving her parents, and was left with burn scars on her face and arms. She spent nearly three years in a hospital and underwent eight operations. Her attacker has never been caught.
“I am so happy to be here,” she said. “One day I want to be a physician.”

The models, including three men, walked the catwalk, dancing and singing and showcasing woven handloom Bangladeshi designs. The show was choreographed by local designer Bibi Russel.
Organisers said they hoped to highlight the fact that acid victims, too often overlooked, are a vital part of society. They deliberately chose to hold the event on the eve of International Women’s Day.

“We are here today to show their inner strength, as they have come a long way,” said Farah Kabir, country director of ActionAid Bangladesh, which organised the show. “I often take inspiration from them. Their courage is huge.”
Bangladesh has struggled to deal with acid attacks in recent decades, and has instituted harsh punishments for the perpetrators, including the death penalty. The country has also trained doctors to treat such sensitive cases and attempted to control the sale of acid, but has failed to eliminate the scourge entirely.
In 2016, some 44 people were attacked with acid in Bangladesh — an annual number that has remained relatively stable.
“I am ashamed of having such things in the country,” Kabir said. “Unfortunately, in Bangladesh we do have acid victims because of either gender discrimination or violence, or because of greed. And we want to remind everyone the kind of injustice that has been meted out to them.”

Nepali Boy Trilok Made Heli-Copter.

Helicopters were developed and built during the first half-century of flight, with the Focke-Wulf Fw 61 being the first operational helicopter in 1936.

Some helicopters reached limited production, but it was not until 1942 that a helicopter designed by Igor Sikorsky reached full-scale production with 131 aircraft built.Though most earlier designs used more than one main rotor, it is the single main rotor with anti-torque tail rotor configuration that has become the most common helicopter configuration. Tandem rotor helicopters are also in widespread use due to their greater payload capacity. Coaxial helicopters, tiltrotor aircraft, and compound helicopters are all flying today. Quadcopter helicopters pioneered as early as 1907 in France, and other types of multicopter have been developed for specialized applications such as unmanned drones.
